Half The Women Who Made My Weekend Special

I already told you about the negative aspects of my weekend. I think I've said all I need to say on that topic. What I haven't told you about is the AMAZING women I met over the weekend. Honestly, if you would've told me that you could make true, honest, R-E-A-L friendships that would rival those you have in real life on the internet I would've laughed in your face never believed you. And I know, if you are reading this and haven't met friends on the internet before (why does that just feel so weird?) you probably don't believe me. But, you should. Where-oh-where do I begin?

I honestly met the most amazing women on this trip. Women who didn't ask what a blog was, why I was carrying that giant camera, or blink and eye when I asked them to take a bunch of outfit pictures because they all were doing it too. These are my girls. I had some of the deepest most meaningful discussions on religion and church structures with Erika from Rouge and Whimsy who is a wealth of information and random factoids. Not to mention absolutely hilarious, beautiful, and kind. I talked about marriage and what made me me with Lisa from Mommas Me Time who is so sweet and beautiful.

The teachers were so incredible. I laughed, made awkward cabbage jokes, and learned from Ashley from Little Miss Momma who is the first blog I ever read. She had inspirational words for my sister and I absolutely adore her. She taught us to craft these beautiful felt flowers and was so prepared and well spoken. Ilene from Much Love, Illy kicked off the retreat's crafting by teaching us how to make friendship bracelets. She was so helpful and took her time to come around to each person. She is even more beautiful in person.

Ashley from The Shine Project was absolutely hilarious and, honestly, so inspiring. Her presentation about what happens when each of us shine our own light out for the world to see is one of those visuals that will stay with me. (Note to self... you have to blog about your two Pass It Forward cards)

And Nina from Momma Go Round?

Oh, the hilarity.

I learned so many practical tools I can apply to my blog in the future from her. She convinced me to get a tripod and remote to let Hubby off the hook take my fashion photos myself. She shared her faith, her muffins, and honestly made me laugh until my sides hurt.

I also got to spend time, though not enough, with the self proclaimed Utah Girls: Ashley, Elise from Elise's PiecesNichelle from Vintage Wanna Bee (who made that beautiful white rosette necklace I'm wearing!) and Elisabeth from Imma Walking Fashion Crime. They are totally sweet, encouraging and amazing!

Ok, wow, I'm realizing this is an entire post and I haven't even mentioned my Roomies yet! I guess this is going to be a two parter! Thank you to all the amazing women I met this weekend. You all really made the experience!
