We Met On The Internet

I have received lots and lots of love from this community lately. Thank you all so very much! I already told you about half the women I met this past weekend. They were all totally amazing people. But I want to tell you about a few women I "met" before the event... right here on the internet. These were my roomies this weekend and I absolutely adore every single one.
Brace yourself for some cheesiness... its about to get REAL cheesy around here. Dear Roomies, I love you.

You might recognize Nicole from Everly Emil as the amazing and talented woman who did my blog design. Nic, thank you thank you for understanding me and loving me so well. Sorry things were a little full for me or... um... lopsided for you this weekend, but I'm glad we shared that experience. I'm sorry our babies were so mad at us! You are such a strong woman. Thank you for talking with me late into the night and thank you for all you shared. Thank you for our deep discussions on faith and marriage. I learned so much from you, both about what you believe and what I believe. PS Heather and I think your husband sounds like Nick Lachey over FaceTime. Love you billions and billions.

Abby from Albion Gould... unfortunately nicknamed the girl in the closet by Hubby. I love you so so so much. Thank you for stepping.. ok completely leaping... outside of your comfort zone to spend the weekend with us. I admire you for so many reasons. Your love for your girls and husband radiates from you. You showed me how to speak lovingly and respectfully of my spouse in all things. Thank you for sharing an intimate piece of yourself with us. Thank you for giving me hope that when I look back years from now, there will be moments in my life that will feel like a completely different life. Thank you for showing me I don't have to just give in to my depression- that I can make a choice. Oh.. and thank you for the toilet paper.

Andi from The Hollie Rogue, you have such a quiet confidence about you. Your love for your family and your love for God is striking. You are one of the most beautiful and kind women I have ever met. You seem so sure of yourself and I admire you so much. I am excited to be working with you and so so so ridiculously excited to be learning from and, hopefully, growing with you. Thank you for all your support and sacrifice. Thank you for all your love and encouragement. You are so beautiful, inside and out. Love you!

Heather from Finding Beauty in the Ordinary, girl... you know I have loved you for months but you were even BETTER than I expected. You are seriously so hilarious! You kept me laughing this whole weekend. You have a lovely heart and a beautiful soul. You are going to be one fierce little mama soon. I love the way you are so open and truthful- whether talking about your life, your husband, your job, or your love for others. Thank you for sharing your story and for not passing judgement on mine. Thank you for all the laughs and deep thoughts. Thank you for showing me that true friendship can span the distance. Thank you for not making us eat at Mimi's Cafe. Thank you for the Sour Patch Kids. I love your guts!

Jenna from The Life of the Wife, G-I-R-L! I seriously adore you. It's funny how you can talk to someone for so long and never realize just how similar your stories are. You were one of the people I was most excited to meet and are one of the people I know I will have in my life for years to come. You are seriously gorgeous and so darn funny. Thank you for all the long and deep conversations. Thank you for not being mad that I pushed you into opening up about your story and sharing a piece of yourself with us. Thank you for being so open about your search in your faith and for inspiring me with your words. You are so incredibly kind. I'm actually sorry because I feel like I took you on a wild ride this weekend, but I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thank you for being another mama who just gets it. I love you tons!

  13. Although it sounds like it wasn't the best blogging retreat, it does seam like it was worth it to meet these girls in person! I didn't start blogging for new friends, but it's posts like these that make me more and more excited to become part of the blogging community!
